This pack contain 10 black balls representing carbon atoms, for instance, and the diameter of each atom is 23 mm. Each atom has three holes arranged at 120° (trigonal) meaning three bonds may be represented. If you want to make a fourth bond (as in methane for instance) or just two bonds (as in ethyne for instance) we also supply black 2- and 4-hole atoms with the holes appropriately positioned.
Why would I need these? You could use them to represent a carbon atom in a compound such as ethene, H2C=CH2 in which the HCC angles are 120° and you don’t want your model to have empty holes or don’t want to include π-orbitals.
