It’s always great to be recognised. WebElementsTM has received a number of awards and recognition from external agencies and I am delighted that WebElements is recognised in this way. Some of these awards and other forms of recognition are shown below. has selected the WebElements web site as a winner of the 2002 Sci/Tech Web Awards.
WebElements is rated as one of the MARS Best of Free Reference Web Sites of 2001. MARS is the Machine-Assisted Reference Section of the Reference and User Services Association of the American Library Association.
WebElements is featured in the Institute for Scientific Information’s (ISI) premium collection of evaluated scholarly Web sites called Current Web Contents.

WebElements is included in the Sept. 11 2000 issue of Best of The Web as a “Forbes Favorite” honoree.
Five Star rating by Schoolzone’s panel of over 400 expert teachers. Schoolzone says: “A site from Sheffield University providing information on all the chemical elements. The front page showing the periodic table has links to pages on individual elements. The individual element pages contain data on physical structure and characteristics, history, usage and miscellaneous facts. The site is extremely well designed, comprehensive and very easy to use.
