Printable periodic tableUpdated 17 March 2003This page contains links to two "portable document format" (pdf) files that you can download, read, and print with the Adobe Acrobat Reader on whatever computer you use. You can use this file to print copies of the periodic table for yourself, groups of students, whatever. What you may not do is sell it, or distribute it on media which you sell. If you are connected to the InterNet and your Adobe Acrobat software is sufficiently current, click on any of the elements in the periodic table from within the Adobe Acrobat reader program to retrieve information about that element from the WebElements site. 5-figure versionThis version is appropriate for most uses, in particular for school use and many university requirements. It lists the atomic weights to 5 significant figures, all that is needed for many purposes. Full versionThis version is appropriate if you want the atomic weights to have the maximum number of figures. The estimated errors as given by IUPAC are also included. This will suit the professional in particular but is also suitable in many cases for school and university requirements. It is contained in the WebElements downloads section. WebElements downloads sectionWhy the update?
The font will appear very small on screen because that's the way it has to be with a printable periodic table. The print quality is much better than the screen image. If the document appears irritatingly blurred to you on screen - go to "Preferences - General..." and uncheck the "Smooth text and monochrome images" check box. Not too sure why, but on some systems, after the new window has launched, you may have to press "reload" in the new window, even though the file has not displayed even once.
