The Molymod diamond kit can be used to assemble an elegant model of diamond with 30 carbon atoms arranged in four layers. The atom parts are made of attractive solid black plastic spheres.

Contents of the Molymod diamond kit

The contents are contained within a sturdy plastic storage box (235 x 170 x 35 mm) and includes a brief instruction leaflet.

In 1998, a large diamond model containing over 30000 Molymod carbon atoms was put on display at the Science Museum in London in the UK. That giant model was 2.4 metres high and is recorded in the Guiness Book of Records!
