i wanna know about the relation between density and percentage of sulfuric acid - water. can anyone please to share the url, or to share the chart? i really need it. thanks before

A question about the electrolysis of water

As the topic, when we want to do electrolysis on water, we must add something into the water to increase the electricity conductivity of the water, so as to increase the rate of reaction.

Sometimes, we will add acid into the water. This is easy to understand. There is more H+ ions and the concentration is higher.

However, when we get NaCl into the water to make the water into dilute NaCl solution, the situation is totally different. There is Na+ and Cl- ions added into the water only, where both of them will not take part in the reaction. Then, why the electircity conductivity of the water will be increase? Why the rate of the reaction will be increase?

Hydrogen Fluoride and Water

It is said that Hydrogen bonding effects are especially pronounced in water because water has two hydrogen atoms and two unshared electron pairs ,giving each molecule the oppertunity to participate in four hydrogen bonds. But HF also has oppertunity to participate in four hydrogen bonds but even then it has much lower boiling point than water. HF also has lower melting point than water. Can you explain why? I'm first year college student. Thank you

Sincerely,
Vijay

Magnetic Moments?

Can someone please tell me what a magnetic moment is?

Substances where the solid is less dense than the liquid?

Someone asked me a straightforward question today -
are there any other substances besides water where the solid is less dense than the liquid?

I realised I couldn't think of any -
anyone know any examples?

I'm guessing something else that has loads of hydrogen bonding...

About the defination of metal.

Metal is something that have high electricity conductivity, heat conductivity, ductile, and so on. I know this. However, if there is a clear defination that WHAT is metal? Elements that can form metalic structure?

If there is no clear defination, then how did the scientists divide the periodic table into metal, semi-metal and non metal if thre is no a clear defination?
