Atom Model HW

just to get some help...

I have to do an Atom Model with Research Material.

The element that I got was: phosphorus (symbol = P)

This is what I have to do:

Research Material wrote:
The reasearch must have following: Title Page, Table of Contents, Historical Background, General Information, Compounds and Uses and Last page with the bibliography

Historical Background:
NOTE: The Historical Background should include when was the element founded, who found it, which country, etc
nothing yet

General Information:
NOTE: General Information Includes: Name of the element, Symbol, Latin Name if any, Atomic number, Atomic mass, Mass number, # of protons, # of electrons, #of neutrons, period number, # of energy level, group #, # of valence electrons, classification, density, state of matter, melting/boiling point, family name, usual color, electron configration , melting and boiling point.

· Name of the element: phosphorus
· Symbol: P
· Latin Name if any:
· Atomic number: 15
· Atomic mass: 30.974
· Mass number: 31
· # of protons: 15
· # of electrons: 15
· # of neutrons: 16
· period number: 3
· # of energy level: 3
· group #: 15
· # of valence electrons: 5
· classification: Non-metallic
· density: 1823 kg/m3
· state of matter: solid
· Melting point 317.3 K (111.6 °F)
· Boiling point 550 K (531 °F)
· family name:
· usual color: colorless/red/silvery white
· electron configuration:

Compounds and Uses:
NOTE: Compounds and Uses: you must give at least 5-6 compounds , names formulas and uses.

nothing yet

note: bolded stuff are things I don't have YET
note 2: add citations of where you got it, I need to

Phosphorus is its Latin name; the English weren't clever enough to think of any other.

Group 15 are called pnictogens.

There is a book called The Elements (catchy title!) by John Emsley; it lists a bunch of compounds; you can also look at this site or elementetymology.
