I'm not sure what u r asking. Do you want to know if Cu is a catalyst for making sulfuric acid? No; the usual catalyst is Pt, which is used to convery sulfur dioxide into sulfur trioxide which combines with water to form sulfuric acid.
Sorry, but what i meant was copper + sulphric acid => Cu2SO4
and the catatylse and promotors for this reaction...
As far as I know, you don't need a catalyst for this reaction; as long as the sulfuric acid isn't too concentrated and the Cu is finely divided the reaction proceeds with aeration; alternatively, cuprous sulfide is oxidized in a furnace and mixed cupric oxide and cupric sulfate are dissolved in sulfuric acid.
