Could someone tell me:
What elements is used in paper production, glass, and detergents.
Compound that resembles th ose of Magnesium more than compounds of own family.
Component of nonsparking tools.
Reacts with all elements except He, Ne, and Ar
Earlier manufacture caused pollution problem with mercury
Forms organic compounds by catenation
Used in cememnt and soil treatment
resistance to corrosion
Choices: Beryllium, Calcium, Aluminum, Argon, Chlorine, Chromium, Fluorine, Hydrogen, Lithium, Phosphorus, Sodium, Zinc
Please help, thanks :D

sodium and calcium is used in glass(sodium carbonate)(calcium carbonate)
calcium is used in cement(CaO-Ca(OH)2-CaCO3)
zinc is resistant to corrosion
That's alot of homework!
non-sparking tools are a Copper-Beryllium alloy, but I think they add minor amounts of other elements. But since Be is very toxic, its not used much except in specality areas.
I bet its Phosphorous. P forms really neat phosphate glasses (resistant to most corrosion types = why they turn nuclear waste into phosphate glass) and its in most cleaners.
I agree!
Aluminium and Chromium is corrosion resistant. The reason for their resistivity is their protective oxide layer.
As Al and Cr spontaneously create oxide layer on their surface, They can not be oxidized further.
