Neptunium and Plutonium

It is now known that slight amount of Neptunium and Plutonium exists naturally in beryls (Beryllium compounds). Why do scientists still classify them as 'synthetic'?

Probably because
(i) they were first discovered when they were made synthetically
(ii) the majaority of all the samples available today were made synthetically

:?: :?: :?: :shock: They were made artificially before they were found in Pitchblendes and Beryls????
