Please let us type subscripts and superscripts on the board!

Dear Moderator,
this board would be huuuuuuuugely better to use for discussing chemistry if you could configure it to let us use superscripts and subscripts.

Can HTML be enabled?
Or is there was way to do it with "BBCode"?
(if so, can you maybe write a little FAQ about that?
or can SUP and SUB buttons be added to the ones up there? ^^ )

yes but absolutely NOBODY ever does that in their posts,
can't you put a button for it or a FAQ or sthg.

This covered in the help files for BBCode at http://www.webelements.com/forums/faq.php?mode=bbcode. In essence it would be a considerable task to provide the facility. I could enable HTML in posts but won't as that would guarantee disaster (partly because may would write broken HTML).

If as and when the phpBB developers provide support for sub/superscripts, I will enable it asap. I have now established that the next upgrade for the software will allow sub/superscripts, but there is no date scheduled for release of the software. Watch this space...
