sodium reacts with water and bursts in presence of air.
how to measure the evolved energy? whether sodium has a flsh point?

"bursts"?
sodium balloons? -)
You can find some thermodynamics on the process here http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?op=articles;id=8
Just keep in mind that all the calculations are VERY rough and many things are not taken into account. (Such as the energy absorbed by the water the reaction is occuring in; the fact that the sodium metal gets smaller and smaller as it reacts; etc. etc.) So the numbers in the article are just a rough estimate on the energy associated with the reaction between sodium and water.
