Hello
Why do you get copper (II) sulphate and copper (I) sulphate? Why is there different numbers there? why do you get triplumbic tetroxide (PB3 O4) and normal lead oxide (PB 0)?
Thanks

In Cu2O copper` s oxidation number (and valence) is I, and in CuO it is II. They are two different compounds. It is similar with nitrogen oxides- N2O, NO, N2O3, NO2, N2O5. Pb304 is called minium and it is made of two different lead oxides- 2PbO x PbO2.
