Structure and reversible lithium intercalation in a new P[prime or minute]3-phase: Na2/3Mn1-yFeyO2 (y = 0, 1/3, 2/3)

Novel Na2/3Mn1-yFeyO2 phases with a P[prime or minute]3-type structure are able to intercalate lithium reversibly by preservation of the pristine three-layered structure. The highest amount of intercalated Li+ is achieved for the intermediate composition P[prime or minute]3-Na2/3Mn2/3Fe1/2O2.

Chemically modified graphene oxide (GO) sheets exhibit "fingerprinting" photoluminescence (PL), which originates from the [sigma]* [rightward arrow] n, [small pi]* [rightward arrow] [small pi] and [small pi]* [rightward arrow] n electronic transitions between the antibonding and the bonding molecular orbitals. These three PL peaks exhibit a red-shift with an increase in the excitation wavelength.
