Ultrafast Cr(VI) removal from polluted water by microwave synthesized iron oxide submicron wires

Iron oxide submicron wires are synthesized by a microwave method within a short period of 20 s. It shows orders of magnitude faster Cr(VI) removal rate at elevated temperature than conventional adsorbents.
