Multiple lines of evidence, including electronic absorption spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and broken-symmetry DFT calculations, indicate that the well-known FeNO corroles, long assumed to be {FeNO}6 complexes, are in fact better described as {FeNO}7-(corrole[radical dot]2-).

A graphene oxide/[small beta]-FeOOH composite was prepared and its adsorption capacity was evaluated by Cu2+ removal. The adsorption process was well fitted with the pseudo-second-order kinetics model. The removal rate of Cu2+ reached 93.8%.
