Three types of NiCo2O4 nanostructure, homogeneous NiCo2O4 nanoneedle arrays, heterogeneous NiCo2O4 nanoflake arrays and NiCo2O4 nanoneedle-assembled sisal-like microspheres, are synthesized. The NiCo2O4 nanoneedle arrays are evaluated as supercapacitor electrodes and demonstrate excellent electrochemical performances.

The bonding situation in triethylchalcogenostiboranes Et3Sb[double bond, length as m-dash]E (E = S 1, Se 2) in the solid state was investigated by single crystal X-ray diffraction and by computational results. 1 and 2 show polarized Sb-E single bonds rather than [small pi]-interactions.
