Versatile reactivity of a rhodium(I) boryl complex towards ketones and imines

[Rh(Bpin)(PEt3)3] reacts with ketones, aldimines and ketimines by insertion of the C=X entities into the Rh-B bond to give boron-oxygen or boron-nitrogen bonds. In the presence of an aromatic system, stabilization of the products occurs by [small eta]3 or [small eta]5 coordination.

Silver(I) complexes (1-2) of the anti-inflammatory drug naproxen were evaluated for their binding properties towards lipoxygenase and CT-DNA and the results are compared with their in vitro cytotoxicity. UVC light increases the effectiveness of complexes 1-2 on MCF-7 cells by 15.3% and 39.5% respectively.
