The crystal structure of Ca3Si2O7:Eu2+ phosphor was determined on the basis of XRD profiles using synchrotron radiation. A warm-white LED device with a low CCT has been fabricated using a blue LED chip combined with orangish-yellow-emitting Ca3Si2O7:0.015Eu2+ phosphor.
