Heteroleptic bis(dipyrrinato)copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes are synthesized. Their structures are determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, and their properties are investigated by using cyclic voltammetry, chronocoulometry, and UV/vis absorption spectroscopy.

The aluminium reagent Al(NMe2)3 acts as a stoichiometric or catalytic reagent in dehydrogenic Si-N bond formation using amines and silanes. The observed catalytic rate law suggests a mechanism involving the silane component in the deprotonation of the amine.

Functionalized diaminophenolates as ligands for dinuclear indium catalysts were investigated in the ring-opening polymerization of lactide. An increase in the steric bulk of the ligand phenolates decreases the selectivity of the catalysts due to catalyst dissociation during polymerization.
