In this work, TPPi was adopted as a flame retardant additive into the traditional electrolyte 1 M LiPF6/EC + DMC (1 : 1, v/v) which not only enhanced the carbonates' thermal properties but also improved the electrochemical performances of rechargeable Li-S batteries.
