Burning coal

I am doing an essay on acid rain and I need the forumulas related to the combustion of coal. Could anyone please help me?

A combustion reaction will give you carbon dioxide and water vapor. I just did a report for my chemistry class on fuel. Pretty interesting subject. Maybe someone can post a formula as it's kinda hard to type one up on a computer. Maybe a picture would work best. Good luck anyhow.

2CxHy + (4x+y)*O2 -----> (y)*H20 + (2x)*CO2

Here is the genral forumla. Where x and y depend what type of coal you are using.
