I'm so confused.... when do I add -ine and when do I add -ide?

I'm so not the science type I'm sorry...

Well, Hydrogen dioxide comes in 'Potassium Hydrogen Dioxide' (KOOH) which I don't think it can be stable. (and alkaline, I think?)

Potassium Peroxide.
It is stable, an oxidant, and reactive - the O-O bond is weak.

Thanks, now I know that (O2H)- is named peroxide. :D

Indeed, anything with an O-O bond is some form of peroxide.
