barium sulphate

Could anyone help out?

I wish to know the density, crystal structure, specific bond lengths and general properties of barium sulphate. Also these properties in the equivalent sodium system.

Would sodium chloride at a high enough concentration be incorporated into the 'empty space' of a barium sulphate crystal or would substitution take place?

this is part of my dissertation so please someone know!!!

Asking on an internet forum for a crucial aspect on your dissertation might not be the best idea. Rather, it would be best to walk to your Chem department and ask some people there. A beer is usually enought to solicit help.
